In one of Romania's blessed wine regions, in Mur- fatlar, somewhere between Danube and the Black Sea, where the gentle winds meet and the air is humid all year long, something unique and special was born from the talent of a great Italian viticulture specialist, the courage of a Romanian entrepreneur and the work of some people with respect for what Nature offers: the first biodynamic wine in Romania, PATRAR from Domeniul Bogdan!
Why PATRAR (quarter moon)? Because in the biodynamic agriculture the phases of the moon are extremely important. In other words, Patrar was born from the art of choosing the right moments in winemaking with the help of the Moon’s phases calendar.
Listen to nature
The extremely fast rhythm of the human evolution in the recent decades made us forget about the communion between nature and people as it was in the old times, that perfect harmony in which agriculture was not only a way of exploiting the land for production, but a science in which the astral rhythms were part of the daily life. PATRAR brings them back together, again!
Listening to Nature and working the garden exactly as she tells you, watching the sky, the flight of the birds and the phases of the moon is as an unconventional as it is a scientific a way of doing agriculture.
